A Kent man who started up a new business when most people are considering retirement has won a national award in recognition of his outstanding success. Sean Derrig, Chief Executive of Chemex said; “Ian thoroughly deserves this award he is building an excellent business based on great service and customer care and is a wonderful example of how to be successful in business.” Ian, who is married to Carolle Ann and has four children, said: ”I think a few people were surprised when I started the business at an age when many are thinking of taking life a bit easier but that has never  been my style.“I worked for 35 years in the motor industry with half of that time in sales and I just really enjoy meeting people and being able to provide them with advice and support to help their businesses.
“Chemex isn’t just about selling cleaning products we provide a full range of advice and consultancy on health and safety and hygiene matters delivered free as part of our service. |
