Chemex was established in 1985 to serve the £2.5 billion cleaning and hygiene market in a unique way via a network of franchised owner operators sharing a common goal to provide high quality products at excellent value for money with a standard of service unmatched in the industry.
Chemex is a well established brand with a healthy customer base, huge potential markets and sound financial backing. It was acquired in March 2006 by a team led by Melvin Lusty, Sean Derrig and Nick Stojic, three former British Franchise Association (bfa) board members with over sixty years’ franchising experience between them.
Since then, our business has experienced double-digit sales growth and moved to a state-of-the-art, 80,000 square foot distribution centre in the Midlands to service its franchisees in the UK, Ireland, Europe and Scandinavia.
