Hand Hygiene Breakthrough Against H1N1 "Swine" Flu
We have been inundated with calls from people concerned about the impact that H1N1 ("Swine" Flu ) could have on their business. We recently produced a technical bulletin that takes a closer look at influenza A virus subtype H1N1 and are now launching a new product giving unrivalled and long lasting hand hygiene performance.
As the WHO has now described the disease as ‘unstoppable’ Chemex is now advising many clients on their H1N1 Readiness Programmes.
• How would you cope if 20% of your staff were to go sick tomorrow?
• What if that figure were 50%. Or 70%?
We are now launching Chemex Enduro Hand Foam – a unique new product designed to keep your hands safe and free from pathogens when soap and water is not available. Chemex Enduro has been independently tested to international standards and proven to kill 99.9999% of bacteria such as E coli, Salmonella and MRSA on contact and gives long-lasting protection – after 2 hours it has been clinically proven to still kill 99.9% of bacteria.
It is also sporicidally active and approved to International Standard EN 13704 against C. diff spores; unique in a hand hygiene product. It is also UK DEFRA approved against influenza virus.
Chemex Enduro is completely alcohol-free and dermatologically proven to be kind to hands.

H1N1, still misleadingly called ‘Swine Flu’ has now been described as “the biggest challenge in a generation” by Chief Medical Officer Professor Sir Liam Donaldson.
As cases double to more than 100,000 per week the flu service hotline (0800 15 13 100) has been op ened – its rollout was originally planned for the Autumn.
Professor Donaldson also recently said that "clean hands are the best defence against the threatened flu pandemic." We can advise you on ways to manage and mitigate risks within the workplace and implement effective hygiene control programmes including hand hygiene training for your staff.
